About Display Energy Certificates

A Display Energy Certificate (DEC) shows the operational energy performance of a building occupied wholly or partly by a public authority, frequently visited by the public, with a total useful floor area over 250m².

DECs must be displayed in a prominent place clearly visible to visitors. Failure to display a valid DEC can lead to a £500 penalty, plus a further £1,000 for not having a valid Recommendation Report.

EnergyFit lodges every DEC on the official register and tracks expiry automatically so you never fall out of compliance.
